Parkhurst Participates in Kitchen Takeover at Philadelphia Day of Smiles

At Parkhurst Dining, our commitment to serving delicious meals extends beyond the boundaries of our dining halls and corporate kitchens. We believe in the power of community and the impact we can make when we join forces with organizations dedicated to helping those in need. Recently, team members from University of the Arts, Cedar Crest College, Jefferson University, Delaware Valley University, and Rosemont College had the privilege of participating in a Kitchen Takeover event at Broad Street Ministry in Philadelphia. It was a true collaboration, where culinary skills and compassion blended seamlessly.

Beyond the meal and the physical act of service, our time at Broad Street Ministry allowed us to witness the incredible work being done by the organization. Broad Street Ministry goes beyond providing meals; they offer a comprehensive range of social services that help stabilize the lives of Philadelphians living in deep poverty. By supporting their mission, we become a part of a larger movement, transforming lives and creating pathways to a brighter future.

The Kitchen Takeover event at Broad Street Ministry was a testament to the power of community and the difference we can make when we come together with a shared purpose. Our team members not only demonstrated their culinary skills but also their compassion and dedication to serving others. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the incredible work of Broad Street Ministry and to be a catalyst for change in the lives of those who need it most. As we continue our journey, we remain committed to uplifting communities, one meal and one act of kindness at a time.
