At Parkhurst, we’re no stranger to working with local businesses in the communities we serve. As part of our Know Your Source philosophy, Parkhurst partners with local vendors to introduce guests to regional flavors, and since 2002, we’ve consistently supported our small business partners through our FarmSource buy-local program.
This year, Eat’n Park Hospitality Group decided to further pledge their support and invest in one of our local partners, Millie’s Ice Cream, a business we’ve been working with for nearly five years. In addition to providing educational experiences for our chefs and managers, you may have seen Millie’s in pop-up spaces at our higher education sites, bringing their ice cream truck to our corporate partners, or being enjoyed at picnic celebrations or athletic training camps. Like our FarmSource and Know Your Source programs, Millie’s, too, focuses on using the highest quality ingredients.
“Parkhurst’s commitment to local brands is the real deal,” says Lauren Townshend, co-founder and owner of Millie’s Ice Cream. “They really ‘walk the walk’ when it comes to supporting local suppliers. Their partnership has helped us increase our brand awareness throughout the region and has attracted new customers to our scoop shops.”
Like Eat’n Park Hospitality Group, Millie’s growth has been fueled by a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship. Parkhurst looks forward to continuing this partnership with Millie’s and seeing what sweet rewards of collaboration lie in the future!
